What I Ate for Christmas 2014

Merry Christmas and happy new year everyone.

If you are reading this post close to the video uploading date (31/12/2014), then it may not be completely finished since I am trying to reference recipes to the original owners. Also I wanted to get this video up sooner than later. 

I have linked the recipes that we were inspired from. We put our own twist on a lot of the dishes. 

Breakfast

Homemade bread

I played around with a few different bread recipes but I left the dough to rise overnight which resulted in SUPER fluffy bread... yum!

Orange Cake (gluten dairy free)

We used the upside down pineapple cake concept but used the flourless orange cake recipe instead. 

Gluten free cornbread

We replaced the buttermilk with almond milk and lemon juice

Shrimp on the barbie aka PRAWNS!

We had a marinade but I need to ask my sister what she did ;)

Steamed beans with mustard dressing (Coles)

-Green beans trimmed and sliced
-3 tbs olive oil
-juice of 1 lemon
-3 tsp wholegrain mustard
-1 garlic clove crushed

Lentil Salad with chorizo and zucchini (Woolworths)

-2 Italian sausages
-1 packet lentils
-2 cloves garlic
-1 chilli
-Cumin, paprika
-2 tbs red onion
-3 tomatoes

-2 zucchinis chopped

Summer

Hey :)

I am writing this post while my first vlogmas video is uploading! I think it is going to take a while because it's jumped from 140 minutes to 325 minutes :/ 

I am working a lot in the next two weeks; I only have 3 days off in total. It's alright though because I did apply to be a Christmas casual and I work in retail so it's pretty busy. I am really liking the job which is great. 

I have made a summer playlist and it's still a work in progress. I listened to a pretty chill song on the radio two nights in a row but I can't remember any lyrics except "plastic" in the chorus. I am dying to know what it is.

DancingFashion in 2014

Well it's a bit late to be doing 2014 Resolutions so I thought I would incorporate my goals into monthly themes on my channel. 

If you are up to date, you'll know that Back to Dance January (#back2danceJanuary) has been happening. And I have also mentioned that Back to School February (#back2schoolFebruary) will be coming to a screen near you next month. 

All of the themes that I have created so far have a meaning behind them or surround a concept or practice that I want to achieve this year. 

I was inspired by the lovely Nikki Phillippi to do monthly themes. I love organisation and always felt my channel lacked direction, causing me to upload "popular" videos that I personally didn't enjoy making (aka. favourites). So in 2014, I want to make the change of uploading what I want to upload and only showcase videos that I love!
